How To: Assemble a Tissue Paper Pom Pom

Don't worry if you open your pom pom pack and think what the hey?! They are actually really super easy to assemble. We have included a step by step guide below to help you.

STEP 1:

When you open your Hunters Rose Tissue Paper Pom Pom box set you will have three pom poms (unassembled) wrapped in plastic with a ribbon tied around each.

To start, take the tissue paper pom pom out of the plastic and securely tie the ribbon in the middle of the paper leaving enough ribbon on one side to hang the pom pom once assembled.

STEP 2:

Fan out the 2 ends of the paper and spread out the folds as far as you can.

STEP 3:

Carefully and gently start to separate the layers of tissue paper, being careful not to tear it. Pull it apart as close to the centre as possible until all the layers are fully separated. The paper will tear if you’re too forceful with it, so be careful!

TIP:

To avoid tearing or ripping, start pulling at the bottom of the tissue paper layer and not the tip. If you do tear a piece of your pom-pom while making it, don’t freak out; it’s not the end of the world as most of the time the tear will just blend in. You can use scissors to blend the tear in so it doesn’t look too noticeable or jagged.

STEP 4:

Repeat steps 2 - 3 on the other side.

STEP 5:

Fluff layers to get a rounded effect. Pom poms are great when used as hanging decorations but you can also make great table decorations - they are fantastic fillers.
