Vintage Racer Party Inspiration

Our Vintage Racer Collection was originally designed for our founders first son’s second birthday party. He is an absolute car fanatic (just like his dad), so it came as no surprise that this theme was an absolute hit!

This theme is super fun and with its bold colours is really eye-catching and show stopping. There are so many things you can do with this party theme and in this article we have tried to give you our best top tips.

When coordinating items (like the cake, cupcakes, table clothes, flowers or balloons) for this collection remember to stick to reds, navy blues and white.

Why not try linking your party food to the theme?

Chocolate covered round doughnut biscuits are a great idea for mini wheels/tyres and chocolate dipped pretzels can be used as dip sticks. For those of you who prefer a healthy treat, why not try traffic light fruit kebabs (simply arrange the fruit in the colours of a traffic light) or apple grape cars. You could even have a kiddies sweet decorating station where the kids can make their own biscuit or chocolate bar race cars (we used icing sugar as the glue, jelly babies as drivers and smarties for wheels and steering wheels).

For those of you who are looking to add extra items for this theme's decor you can use traffic signs (we recommend red and white ones), old tyres, checkered flags, old trophies, balloons, flowers and gold chocolate coins can be sprinkled around tables.

For party activities, you could have kids bike/push bike races, a pin the wheel on the car, electric car or die-cast toy cars (like hot wheels) races. The options are endless!
